ROLA Futsal is coming to Chigwell this July!

Headed up by Alan McCormack, Alan is currently the head U18's coach at premier league club Luton Town FC.  Alan can see first-hand the advantage Futsal is having on developing technical and tactical skills, combined with speed and agility for young footballers throughout the academy.

What is Futsal?

Futsal is the fastest growing indoor sport in the world, and is the small sided football format that is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA

Futsal combines traditional football skills and strategies with fast-paced dynamics for indoor games. Played on a smaller pitch with teams of five players, including a goalkeeper, futsal emphasises close control, quick passes, and rapid decision-making. The game's compact nature and reduced space demands exceptional technical abilities, agility, and teamwork. Futsal has gained immense popularity worldwide, captivating players and spectators alike with its exciting, high-scoring matches and skilful displays. Whether it's for recreational fun or serious competition, futsal offers a unique and exhilarating experience for football enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.

Why should I play Futsal?

Futsal is faster paced and played in a much tighter space, therefore player's must react more quickly. This increases their foot speed and agility and provides players more opportunities to develop strength, endurance, and flexibility. Playing futsal improves dribbling, agility, close control, and overall ball-handling skills. These skills are not only valuable in futsal but also transferable to traditional football and other sports.
